I decided to start a new blog.
We are migrating from Blogspot to a WordPress based personal website/blog!

Note : Make sure you have unlocked bootloader of your Moto E (Click here if not) &
CyanogenMod is a custom ROM which is available for most of the devices & they are know to solve and fix bugs on time.They regularly update their ROM'S.
CM12 is a custom ROM made out of STOCK 5.0 lollipop !
Just Unlock the bootloader and after unlocking bootloader click here to flash latest twrp recovery :)
To install CM12 we need [Click to download files]:-
- CM12 Official Custom ROM. [Download cm12 & not cm12.1][Click here for cm12.1]
- G-Apps. [Download for cm12 only]
Steps to install CM12 :-
- Download latest version of CM12 from their official site. [thanks to percy_g2].
- Download suitable package of GApps [Google apps] from the link.
- Make sure your phone has Stock Recovery replaced by TWRP recovery[click here to Flash TWRP].
- Copy the downloaded files into your Moto E & put your phone into recovery mode [TWRP recovery]
- Now click on Wipe [to wipe data, cache, dalvik cache] & Swipe to Factory Reset your phone.
- Now go to install and select CM12 zip file that we downloaded & swipe to confirm flash!
- Now CM12 will be installed successfully, then flash GApps in same way !
- Now reboot into system & you will see the cyanogenMod logo [first boot may take time].
- Check settings for more information about ROM & it's features.
- Reboot & Enjoy Smooth CM12 !
Steps to update :-
- Download the latest ROM file & reboot to recovery mode.
- Go to wipe and wipe dalvik cache and cache. [Do not wipe data]
- Now go to install and flash the latest version and reboot to system.
- You will be successfully rebooted to new version of ROM.
- It's recommended to do a clean wipe after many updates or if you find something wrong :)
- Data is not deleted while updating :)
